Our Story

Seaworm Express, began its journey as a friendly gesture back in 2014, making bi-weekly summer trips to Boston. What started as a casual favor soon evolved into a well-structured business model driven by the demand for live sandworms and bloodworms sourced from Maine's coastal diggers. With a personal investment, the founder acquired the first delivery vehicle in 2017, marking the expansion of deliveries to live bait shops in the Boston area. Over the years, SWE experienced rapid growth, necessitating specialized delivery vehicles and an extended presence in New York and New Jersey.

Today, SWE operates a fleet of three cargo vans, meticulously equipped to maintain worms at the optimal temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit during transport. Officially established as a sole proprietorship in January 2021, the company, maintained by a single individual, serves as a crucial link in the sandworm and bloodworm supply chain, connecting Maine's diggers with out-of-state markets. With a commitment to excellence and sustainability, SWE continues to contribute to the thriving marine worm industry, embodying the spirit of community-driven entrepreneurship along Maine's picturesque coast.
